Problems with Emails

I am having problems with sending and receiving email, but I can still
access the internet, can you help me. I have been onto the techical support
line 4 times, but they have all failed to trace the error.

You mean you can access the web, I think. Which version of
Unix/Linux/*BSD are you running ? What's your mail client ?
What are the errors? Give us some clues and we might be
able to help.

you are using knode, so I assume kmail is you email client as well.

go into settings - configure kmail

set up an identity for yourself (click on new)

then on the network tab
sending is the
Name - freeserve (for lack of a better name)
Host - smtp.freeserve.com
Port 25
I assume you know your username and password

and for recieving.
Name - Freeserve again
Login - your username
password - yup yours
Host - pop.freeserve.com
port is 110

I also have the pop password stored in the config file and delete from the
server.

These may not be strictly correct, but the work for me.

She's wandered into the wrong group. You're the one using Knode.
