Friday morning I was forced to change my anytime dialup to a new number
147008089916080. Since then the service has been a bit patchy. For some
reason I have problems with ntp and several times (like right now 20:20)
I have no access to mail or news. Any one else had problems?

No offence, but this forum is primarily for dealing with Unix/linux/BSD etc
related queries. I agree freeserve is currently giving a crap service
(look at the amount of times I get engaged when dialling up) but one or two
of the other groups would be better for discussing your problem.

Oh and have fun dealing with freeserve and complaints, for it is a brick
wall of ignorance and incompetence.

well I was wondering if anyone had some advice. I'm not using the win32
dialler. In the past I've noticed that this particular list had an
inside track to people who actually have some influence at freeserve.
Perhaps that's no longer true.

A list of available numbers for Anytime is in the UFAQ.

News and mail and web was shot for me last night, but apparantly some cable
got broke in the atlantic and screwed the net for the UK.

But yet freeserves page said they were unaware of any problems....

maybe they just can't change the colour from green, or don;t care a fig as
long as they have your money.
